The Sports and Culture Society of the North Okanagan recognized a need for affordable timing for events in the North Okanagan.

As a result of receiving a grant through the Vancouver Foundation through the 2023 Recovery & Resiliency Grant, a partnership between the Government of BC, Vancouver Foundation, United Way BC, and New Relationship Trust the SCSNO was able to invest in a timing system to allow for affordable timing by local North Okanagan Events.

In 2023 the SCSNO purchased a timing system through Race Result

This system is a dual system capable of doing many things. Below are examples of what we’re capable of: *Active timing *technology is best suited for:

  • Cycling
  • Triathlons
  • Motorsports
  • Inline Skating
  • Ski Mud Races

It offers highest precision at high speeds and more resistance to water/moisture. All active transponders are reusable. Passive timing technology is the right solution for mass events like:

  • Running
  • Marathon
  • MTB Races
  • Triathlons
  • Trail runs

Passive transponders on bibs and on roll are disposable products.

What can an event expect that we are providing for lead up to the event/day of the event and post event.

An event organizer can expect that our team will ask them for a spreadsheet containing all the data necessary to time the event, and produce a spreadsheet with times for every athlete. You can expect a copy of the results with 24 hours.

Events we have supported with timing:

  • Winter Carnival 1 miler
  • Starting Block Winter Carnival 10k
  • Slay the Dragon Ultra
  • Freaky Creaky Ultra
  • BC Athletics Cross Country Running Provincial Championships

We look forward to supporting you and your event. For more information or to book us to time your event please email us at [email protected]
